Information for Speakers

Travel booking
The Department will take care of booking and paying for a hotel for a night (or two, if the logistics impose it) in Padua, and will reimburse other travel expenses. We kindly ask speakers to book their own (economy class) flights or train tickets, and to do so in advance in order to contain travel costs.

Reaching Padua & the Department
Padua is conveniently served by two main airports, Venice Marco Polo (VCE) and Venice Treviso (TSF). Bus lines connect both airports to Padua’s coach station, located next to the city’s train station. VCE bus info and timetables are available here, while info and timetables of TSF buses are available here. In both cases, tickets can be purchased in the arrival hall. If necessary (e.g. for late arrivals), the Department can organize a transfer from the airports to the hotel or Department.

The Department is located in via del Santo 33, in the very centre of town. It can be reached by foot from the train station (a 20 minutes walk), or you can take the tramline southbound (headed for “Capolinea sud”) and get off at “Ponti Romani” (a 3-minutes walk from the Department). You’ll find the tram stops 70 m on your right as you exit the station. Tickets can be purchased at the newspaper kiosk.

Reimbursement
After the seminar, speakers should fill out and sign a reimboursement form (ITA - ENG) and send it back with original paper receipts and boarding cards via mail to:

Dipartimento di Scienze Economiche e Aziendali "Marco Fanno" - Università degli Studi di Padova
Segreteria Amministrativa e contabile
via del Santo 33, 35123 Padova (Italy)

Electronic tickets and boarding cards can be emailed to scientifica.economia@unipd.it. If speakers only have electronic tickets and boarding cards, then they can send all documents (including the signed reimbursement form) via email.

Whether you send your documents in paper or online format, please include a copy of your passport or national ID.
