In this paper, published in Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, Emilio Passetti (Department of Economics and Management of the University of Padova), Massimo Battaglia (Sapienza University of Rome), Francesco Testa (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa) and Iñaki Heras-Saizarbitoria (University of the Basque Country, Spain), aim to analyse the extent to which health and safety action controls, results controls and informal controls affect the integration of health and safety issues into management actions, which in turn leads to improve health and safety performance.
