The Department of Economics and Management of the University of Padova is seeking excellent candidates to fill the academic position of:

Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in Corporate Finance
(13/B4 – SECS-P/09 Finanza Aziendale)

Job Description and Position
The candidate should hold a PhD in the field of Corporate Finance and/or Financial Accounting, an associate equivalent position or abilitation in a certified academic institution, a significant record of academic publications in peer reviewed journals (ABS list), a proven record of graduate and undergraduate teaching and an innovative research pipeline. She/he has an excellent teaching ability and is fluent in English. Basic Italian is also required to fill out the application form.

Expected Teaching (90h per year): Corporate Finance, Risk Management, Financial Accounting, Banking.

Research areas: All relevant corporate finance topics will be accepted as long as supported by a good publication track (level 3 or above in ABS ranking).

Indicatively 43k gross salary (tax deductions available for foreign academicians and salary increases available for seniors associate professors).

About the Department
The Department of Economics and Management of the University of Padova was founded in 1989 and counts over 2000 students and about 70 faculty members conducting research in economics or business fields. The Italian Ministry of University and Research has included the Department amongst the Departments of Excellence for the period 2018-22 and awarded special funding to enhance research capacity. Since 2012 the University guide 'Grande Guida' ranks the Department among the top three institutions for teaching quality in the areas of Economics and Statistics. 

The Department ranked fourth in Italy in terms of research quality and productivity. Research carried out in accounting has been ranked third in Italy by the National independent agency (ANVUR).

Out of 850 assessed Universities, our Department is also at the top of the U-Multirank international ranking.  The working language of the Department of Economics and Management is Italian, whereas teaching is done mainly in English across the Masters, and PhD levels. More information is available on the website.
