Health Economics

Health economics investigates the socio-economic determinants of individual and community health, included health behaviours, and how health affects economic outcomes. A key determinant of health is healthcare. The study of healthcare organization, provision, effectiveness and cost-effectiveness is central in health economics. Methodologically, both theoretical models and empirical analysis are typically used.
