Call for Volunteers - Student Report for EQUIS Accreditation

Italian version

The Department of Economics and Management “Marco Fanno” (dSEA) at the University of Padua invites its students to actively participate in an initiative of great importance for the Department.

We are looking for 25 volunteers interested in contributing to the drafting of the Student Report, an independent document that will form part of the documentation required for the EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System) international accreditation process.

EQUIS is one of the most prestigious international accreditation systems for Business Schools and university departments in management and economics. dSEA obtained its first three-year accreditation in 2023 and is now preparing for the reaccreditation process.

Taking part in this initiative means contributing first-hand to a strategic evaluation of quality and continuous improvement within our Department.

The skills acquired will strengthen participants’ CVs, making them more attractive to the network of multinational companies that regard EQUIS as a mark of distinction among Business Schools and a guarantee of academic excellence.

The Student Report (approximately 20 pages) aims to provide students with the opportunity to present their views on the performance of dSEA. This document will serve a fundamental annex to the Self-Assessment Report (SAR), which evaluates the Department’s performance against the EQUIS standards in several areas: Governance, Programmes, Students, Faculty, Research, Executive Education, Resources and Administration, Internationalisation, ERS (Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability), and connections with the professional world.

Selected students will work collaboratively to collect opinions and feedback and produce a unified report.
During the EQUIS Peer Review Visit, scheduled for October 2026, the group will take part in direct meetings with the EQUIS team to discuss their findings. Therefore the students involved are requested to participate in the visit of the Peer Reviewers.

Applications are open to students:

- who, as of 1 October 2025, are enrolled in:

  • a Bachelor’s degree programme in Economics,
  • one of the Master’s degree programmes offered by dSEA,
  • the PhD programme,
  • or an international exchange programme.

- have confirmed availability to attend the meetings with the Peer Reviewers scheduled for 7 October 2026.

An effort will be made to ensure fair representation of students from different study cycles and years.

Why partecipate

- Contribute directly to an internationally recognised quality improvement process;

- Collaborate with fellow students on a stimulating, high-impact project;

- Gain visibility within a globally prestigious accreditation process;

- Develop analytical, writing, and teamwork skills in an institutional setting.

- Strengthen one’s CV with the skills of an external evaluator responsible for an independent report.

The volunteers will be invited to an information meeting to be held on 26 November at 5:00 p.m., during which we will answer any questions or curiosities.

To apply, please fill out the following Google Form no later than November 21:
