PhD Opening Lecture by Mario Daniele Amore
Mario Daniele Amore, Schwarz Foundation Chaired Professor of Strategy and Family Business at HEC Paris, will act as the keynote speaker of the opening lecture of the Ph.D. programme in Economics and Management offered by the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Padova.
His lecture entitled "How do business owners make decisions?" will take place on Friday, 19 April 2024 at 10.45 am at the 'Centro Universitario Padovano' (Padua University Centre) in Padua. He will offer an overview of his ongoing research agenda concerning the influence of owners’ economics preferences on investment decisions. Additionally, he will provide novel evidence on the factors that shape the sustainability of firms’ workplaces. Collectively, these results will underscore the profound role of individual preferences and social relationships in corporate decision-making.
Mario Daniele Amore is an expert on family firms, corporate governance, strategy and the behavioral aspects of corporate decision-making. His research has appeared in top journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, and Organization Science.
