Assistant Professor (tenure track - RTDb) in Public Economics (13/A3 -SECS-P/03 – Scienza delle Finanze)
The Department of Economics and Management (DSEA) of the University of Padova is one of the leading research institutions in Italy in the fields of economics and business. DSEA issued an official call for a full-time, tenure-track position (Ricercatore a Tempo Determinato RTD-B) in the field of Public Economics (SECS-P/03 Scienza delle Finanze). Candidates working in any area of Public Economics as characterized in the field SECS-P/03 are encouraged to apply.
Candidates should have at least three years of experience as post-doc researchers and a publication record adequate for the position.

Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching load: 80-90 hours per year, at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Research activities: publishing in the leading journals of the field. Designing and implementing international competitive research projects.
Departmental support: participating in departmental and institutional activities, including committee work.
Term
Tenure track. After 3 years in the position and conditional on having been granted the required national scientific certification (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale) to become associate professor at an Italian university, the researcher’s achievements will be assessed by DSEA. In case of positive evaluation, she/he will be promoted to the position of Associate Professor (tenured).
Salary Range
43.000€/year (pre-taxes). Net amount after taxes depends on total personal income and family composition. A tax exemption on 90 percent of the salary, lasting up to 11 years, is available according to the Italian tax law for candidates who have been residing outside Italy for 3 years or more.
Research funding will be available depending on the researcher’s productivity and publication record.
