dSEA Lecture Series: "Foundations of International Tax Law and Tax Planning"

We are pleased to welcome Stephen Barkoczy, Full Professor of Tax Law at Monash University (Australia), as guest speaker for this lecture series as part of the Tax Planning and Transfer Pricing course, taught by Prof. Anna Alexander, included in our Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Consulting (MAFiB).
In this seminar, distinguished Stephen Barkoczy will provide students with a comprehensive analysis of the fundamental principles governing International Tax Law and their practical application in cross-border tax planning strategies.
This engaging session will bridge theory and practice, exploring how foundational concepts of International Tax Law — such as residence, source, permanent establishment, and treaty interpretation — shape modern tax planning approaches for multinational enterprises operating in an increasingly complex and regulated global environment.
The seminar will be chaired and moderated by Prof. Anna Alexander and by Prof. Marcello Poggioli.
