Our Prof. Andrea Furlan receives the Shingo Publication Award!

We are proud to announce that 'A Research Agenda for Lean Management', published by Edward Elgar Publishing and edited by our Prof. Andrea Furlan (Full Professor of Management at dSEA UniPD) together with Prof. Daryl Powell (Universitetet i Sørøst-Norge), has been awarded the prestigious Shingo Publication Award.

This award recognizes outstanding work that advances the body of knowledge on organizational excellence and aligns with the principles of the Shingo Model. The book brings together leading global scholars to explore the evolution and future of Lean thinking and practice across five key domains: strategy, learning, sustainability, leadership behaviors, and digitalization. Grounded in the real-world practices of Toyota, it offers new theoretical perspectives and practical guidance for academics and practitioners developing sustainable and effective Lean programs.

The award will be formally presented at the Shingo Connect Awards Gala on 19 March 2026, in San Diego (California).
