Me.Mo PROJECT

MERITA is a project promoted by the Scuola Galileiana di Studi Superiori that aims to increase the number of high-achieving students from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds and inner areas who go on to university studies. The outreach activities pay particular attention to STEM disciplines and to female participation, with the goal of promoting greater equity in access to higher education.

As part of the initiative, the dSEA hosted students at its LEM computer laboratory, offering an activity devoted to the analysis of strategic behaviour among individuals. In a controlled environment, participants were able to see for themselves whether and to what extent economic theories predict people's actual behaviour, exploring, for example, the conditions that foster cooperation in repeated interactions.
