Internship within the Erasmus+ Programme

Case 1 - Undertaking an internship abroad during Erasmus+ for Study

It is possible to undertake a curricular internship abroad during Erasmus+ for Study, provided that the internship does not interfere with attending classes and taking exams.

The possibility of completing an internship during the study abroad period is evaluated on a case-by-case basis, considering both the student's needs and the host organization's requirements.

a) If the host University awards credits for internship activities:

Contact the Internship office at the host university.

The internship will appear in the 'Learning Agreement' just like any other exam taken at the host university during the mobility period.

After the mobility period, the 'Transcript of Records' must include the entry "internship": the host university must award the same ECTS credits for the internship as those specified in the study plan.

b) If the host University does NOT award credits for internship activities:

Contact the dSEA Stage & Placement Service.

The dSEA's International Mobility Office will:

  • Close the status of “Erasmus student.”
  • The period covered by the Erasmus Study grant will be closed, but the internship abroad can still be undertaken (without funding).
  • Request documents and instructions at stage.economia@unipd.it

Case 2 - Undertaking an internship abroad with Erasmus+ for Traineeship

It is possible to apply for the Erasmus+ for Traineeship grant to undertake an internship at a foreign company with a community contribution adjusted according to the cost of living in the destination country.

All information regarding requirements, documents, deadlines, and application procedures can be found in the call for applications, which is managed by:

>>>See here the internship registration calls <<<

2. Complete the following steps by the specified deadlines:

Step 1 Write the internship report by the deadlines of the call in which you intend to participate, containing a SWOT analysis of the competitve context where the internship took place. It is recommended to read the following document: Describe the competitive context

Step 2 Download and have the end-of-the-internship documents completed, stamped, and signed by the company tutor (with certified hours ≥ the minimum hours required by the study program and a grade ≥ sufficient), renaming the file with your LAST NAME and FIRST NAME (keeping the rest unchanged - e.g., "ROSSI MARIO - Internship final documents.pdf") by the registration deadline. To be registered, the internship abroad must be completed.

Step 3 Send the end-of-the-internship documents in PDF format to stage.economia@unipd.it by the registration deadlines.

After submitting the documents mentioned above, the Stage & Placement Service will handle the completion of the credit recognition form.

For curricular internships completed abroad, it is not necessary to register for the call on Uniweb; the call is dedicated ONLY to those who have completed the curricular internship in Italy.
