Internship for recent graduates

Recent graduates can contact the dSEA Stage & Placement Service to start an extracurricular internship (between the graduation date and the following 12 months).

Maximum duration of extracurricular internship: 6 months.

An allowance is provided, in accordance with regional regulations.

Steps for starting an extracurricular internship

  1. Request the documentation

Extracurricular internships follow the regulations of the region where the internship takes place.

Those who intend to undertake an internship within 12 months following graduation should send an email to the dSEA Stage & Placement Service to obtain operational instructions and documentation.

The process is entirely digital.

It will be necessary to provide the company name where the internship has been agreed upon with the company tutor, the VAT number of the host institution, and the complete location (region, city, province, address) where the internship will take place.

  2. Online health and safety course

By signing the Training Project, you will self-certify that you have completed the 'Online health and safety course' in compliance with the legal requirements.

If you have never attended a similar course, we invite you to take it immediately on the dSEA Moodle platform > CLICK HERE

If you already have a certificate, please check here its compliance.

  3. Document sharing process

The document sharing process is entirely digital.

Each intern receives operative instructions and documentation via email.

  4. Return of documents before the internship

Once signed and completed, the documents must be returned to the Stage & Placement Service.

The 'training project' will be submitted for authorization to the Department of Economics and Management.

As soon as the process is completed, the intern will receive a copy of the training project to share with the company tutor, along with an email explicitly authorizing the start of the internship.

The host institution will then receive by email the code to complete the 'training agreement', at least 24 hours before the start of the internship.

  5. During the internship

Changes in days/hours, absences, extensions, and interruptions of the internship must be communicated in advance by the intern to the Stage & Placement Service (stage.economia@unipd.it) with the company tutor copied (CC).

Absences during the internship must be agreed upon in advance with the company tutor.

Business trips must be communicated in advance by the intern to the Stage & Placement Service (stage.economia@unipd.it) with the company tutor copied (CC).
The communication must contain the following information:
- Company name of the entity to be visited;
- Complete address including city, street, and street number;
- Date of the business trip, start and end time of the trip;
- Means of transportation used and the name of the accompanying person.

Interns and host institutions can choose their preferred method to track hours worked. If needed, it is possible to use our attendance register form. The file is editable and does not need to be returned to the Stage & Placement Service at the end of the internship.

  6. At the end of the internship

At the end of the internship, the host institution can fill in the 'Certificate of learning outcomes' of the internship and the personal 'Dossier', that varies depending on the region where the internship took place.

If the internship took place in Veneto: the 'Certificate' and the 'Dossier' are to be filled in and sent to the Stage & Placement Service.

Once signed, they will be returned to the intern.

If the internship took place in other regions, please contact the Stage & Placement Service (stage.economia@unipd.it) to receive the specific documentation.
